Notice to Tenants

Do not call Emergency Maintenance unless it is a true emergency, maintenance will not be dispatched in the middle of the night. We do not come out nights or weekends to change or replace light bulbs. The charge for opening a door after hours is $50.00. If you have an emergency, please call, and leave your name, address, phone number, and details about your emergency. For all other maintenance concerns, please call the office and leave a message and we will take care of it during the normal work week.
If you have changed your home or cell phone number, please email your new number to Mrs. Elaine Bell.
Curfew
Due to several complaints about loiters, noise, and children being left unattended, a 10 PM curfew was initiated on July 1, 2012. This Curfew is still in effect. If you or your invited guest are caught loitering in the parking lot or on the property you will be arrested and/or evicted. If you have questions, please feel free to call the office at 843-393-0436.
Public Housing Online Appointment Information
If you want to make an appointment to see Ms. Elaine Bell, the link can be found on the Darlington Housing Authority website. Click on "Apply Online: Public Housing"; then click on "Public Housing" - click on the last line on the page that says - "if you have questions that remain unanswered, click here to schedule an appointment". If you cannot use the online system, please call to make an appointment. No walk-ins - by appointment only!
Public Housing Online Rent Change Information
Go to the Housing Authority of the City of Darlington. Click on "Housing", click on "Public Housing", click on "Rent Change Request - PH", and finally "click to request an interim rent change" - Fill out the questionnaire and attach all supporting documentation to process your rent change.
Failure to do so will result in your rent change not being processed. All documentation should be emailed to Ms. Elaine Bell.
Fun Event in the City
Freedom Fest June 24, 2023 - Join the Greater Darlington Chamber of Commerce for our annual Freedom Fest at Downtown Darlington at the Square! The event will include food and beverage vendors, merchandise vendors, a kids' carnival, live music, and fireworks all in Downtown Darlington.
